MDM 0.4

MDM 0.4

The main changes in the MDM 0.4 line, including the 0.4.x updates.

What’s new

  • A completely new administration panel: a new interface for managing devices, users, groups, applications, and settings.
  • Kiosk: SingleApp and MultiApp modes, configuration of allowed applications and system elements, temporary and emergency exit for maintenance.
  • Geolocation and geofences: viewing the location of supported devices and rules for applying configurations on entering and leaving a zone.
  • Aitera’s own DPC — independence from Google management servers: corporate Android devices are managed through Aitera MDM without Android Management API and Android Device Policy. An APK catalog and agent updates are available separately. The dependencies of the connected Google services remain.
  • RuStore: adding applications to the catalog and obtaining APKs for installation through the native DPC.
  • New integrations: Telegram, MAX, Slack, and Webhook for alerts; Google Maps and Yandex Maps for working with maps.
  • Alert rules: automatic notifications by events and schedule.
  • WhiteLabel: configuring the logo, company name, and brand color of the console.
  • Administrator roles: access separation for Admin, Helpdesk, and Auditor.

What has been redesigned

  • Configurations: the creation and assignment of device, network, and application settings have been reworked; COBO, BYOD, COPE, and iOS restrictions are available.
  • Security policies: creation, assignment, violation checks, and response configuration have been reworked.
  • Application installation: the catalog and assignments have been reworked; different installation modes are supported depending on the application source and management channel.
  • Integrations: connection settings are collected in a separate section of the console.
  • Logs: device events and the system audit of administrator actions have been separated.
